Atmospheric Work

All atmospheric work is fired in either a wood kiln or a soda kiln. Wood-fired work tends to be darker in color but has bight highlights of flashing were the ash has melted on the surface of the vessel. The majority of soda-fired work has been made with porcelain which gives the surface a brighter yellow color. Atmospheric work reacts to the fuel source and flame pattern within the kiln resulting in unique surface variation.
